I can’t believe it, Anna is 1 year old:) I have had such a great time getting to know her, Jennifer, Rob, and Wes over the past year! I can’t wait to see how she changes from these adorable portraits until the next time I see her.

Welcome to my new blog!
When you look at pictures of yourself or your children years from now, I want you to remember how silly, adventuresome, curious, daring and mostly natural you or they were. I want to take pictures that make you laugh, that make you cry, because you can't believe I caught that look. This gift is truly a Gift from God, and I am so grateful that I get to see what He sees. ~Shannon

Regina is from New York and is in the process of adopting a sweet baby from Ethiopia and I got to create portraits of her to send to her soon to be new addition. We had such a good time and I can’t wait to meet the baby soon!!!!

Happy Birthday to you..Happy Birthday to you….Happy Birthday dear Noah, Happy Birthday to you!
Noah and his family (Ben, Ashley, and Lilly) came to spend some time with me in the studio today to celebrate Noah turning one and we had so much fun:) Lilly did a great job of trying to make Noah laugh and smile while Ben and Ashley chased Noah in between shots (ha,ha).
Please keep my new friends in your prayers, as Ben is scheduled to leave for Haiti any day now, to help in the revival of the tragedy there. I am so grateful that we have gifted women and men who are willing to sacrifice everything to support our country and those in need!

Thank you Ben, Ashley, Noah and Lilly for allowing me to get to know you a little better!
Well I can’t believe it but my adorable friends Preston and Caleb are one:) And my, how they have grown during their first year of life, but one thing hasn’t changed and that is how they are all boy…
During our session I got some exciting news, Preston and Caleb are going to be big brothers! Congratulations Amy and Brandon, I can’t wait to meet that precious gift:)
Here are a few of my favorite during our portrait session, check my website soon for the entire collection.

Anna is such a typical younger sibling:) She is a tiny little thing but she has more spunk than half of the older children that I know! She doesn’t want to miss out on anything, and I absolutely love that, especially in a girl….

I so enjoy spending time with Anna and Jennifer!
Chelsey is such a blessing to me! She is my friend first, but she is also my assistant on my outdoor portrait sessions, and she makes my life so much easier:) I got to take her portraits in a fun spot that she found, and we used her boyfriend for the assistant, not quite what I am used to (sorry Jordan…..).
As you can tell she knows just what to do without any help! Isn’t she great!!!!

Thank you for taking such good care of me Chels!!
I met Leigh and Emi while taking portraits at Wynnbrook’s Christian Preschool this past fall. Leigh called me and asked me to spend some time with she and Emi, to capture portraits of the two of them and the sweet age Emi is in…and as you can see Emi is such a happy little girl! I learned quickly that little girls love lip gloss (even at an early age), and Emi loves animals. What I wouldn’t give to have Emi’s energy and sweet spirit!

If you have ever had any question about what the perfect grandparents are, then you should meet my friends Lou and Patti! They are the most incredible caring, loving, proud, and involved grandparents that I know. We got to spend some time together because precious Izzy is one year old, but I also got to meet Graydon (her cousin) and take some portraits of him as well, it was a great day but I think we wore Patti and Lou out,ha,ha.
Here are a few portraits from our session, check my website out soon for the entire collection.

Diane and I go to church together and I had the priveledge of taking her bridal portraits. She is such an amazing woman and I pray that God let her marriage relationship be rooted and built up in Jesus, strengthened in the faith, and overflows with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7).

Thank you Diane for allowing me to create your portraits!
These adorable boys are my baseball buddies! Ben and Sackett play ball with my son Walker. They are both awesome, and you might want to write their names down because one day they both will be on TV for one sport of the other:)
