I'm Shannon Whittingon,
A young soul with a camera, fueled by the love and commitment of a father who, despite his weekday travels, yearned to capture every precious moment with his two cherished daughters.
In those early days, a makeshift darkroom emerged in the heart of the home – a conversion of mom’s laundry room. Oh, the nostalgia of those film days! Little did we know, that was the seed of a lifelong passion.
Fast forward to college, where I first picked up a camera, and from that moment, it was an inseparable bond. As life unfolded, so did my role as a capturer of moments. At school events, ball fields, and field trips, requests poured in from friends and acquaintances, and with boundless enthusiasm, I gladly shared the captured joy, even in the days of film.
Then came the turning point. My husband, recognizing the growing demand and perhaps a bit concerned about the expense, suggested the birth of a website. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a remarkable journey.
One fateful lunch, he steered me to a shopping center, seemingly void of any culinary delights. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he revealed the surprise – an empty building waiting to become our very first photography studio. I was floored!
“You have a gift,” he said, “What are you waiting for?” And just like that, our own studio was born, marking the beginning of a thriving business that has now spanned an incredible 19 years.
Our journey isn’t just about photography; it’s a celebration of love, family, and the beautiful moments that define us. Every click of the shutter is a testament to the passion that started in a makeshift darkroom and transformed into a legacy of capturing the essence and beauty of amazing women, high school seniors, children, families and businesses.
