Design Consultation
Together, we expertly delve into your vision for your portraits and the story you want to tell. Through collaborative brainstorming, we craft a unique strategy that sets your business apart from competitors in your custom branding session.
Wardrobe and Styling
During your personalized diseign consultation, we’ll take the time to understand your Unique Style preferences and vision for your portrait session. With our expert guidance, we’ll curate up to four stunning looks that perfectly complement you, and bring your vision to life. Whether you prefer to bring your own wardrobe favorites or explore our couture closet for added flair, we’ll ensure you step in front of the camera feeling confident and effortlessly stylish.
Make-up & Hair
We watch for clients to pull in the driveway and we walk out to greet them. We carry their things in and we offer them beverages. With music playing in the background we start by creating a before picture and then we start their hair and make up with the help of our professional artists. We discuss the looks they have in mind and create their dream looks. Next we determine which outfits we will photograph on which backgrounds and with which props if any.
Portrait Session
I’ll expertly guide you to showcase your best angles and genuine expressions. Throughout our one and a half hour session, we will have a blast creating multiple looks and poses, sharing laughter and fun along the way. It’s like spending time with a close friend! Afterward, enjoy a lovely one and a half hour lunch break before we showcase all your incredible portraits. Together, we’ll review them one by one, allowing you to handpick your favorites. If none catch your eye, there is no obligation to purchase. But if I’ve done my job right, you’ll be eager to claim them all! From there, we’ll tailor a package just for you, ensuring it perfectly suits your needs and preferences.
Premium Retouching and Production
Our premium retouching service unleashes the full potential of your portraits, transforming them into timeless masterpieces. While the process takes approximately 4 weeks, the anticipation only adds to the excitement. Plus, for those eagerly awaiting printed products, additional time may be needed for delivery, but trust us, it’s worth the wait!
"I am a photographer and as such generally shy away from being on the 'other' side of the lens.
I met Shannon when I was taking headshots for an organization, and she shared her information. We connected and I was simply intrigued as her photography style is vastly different than mine. Other than family photos, I have only had professional photos done once before for myself (in the early 90s – you know the ones -fun then but cringy now). Shannon and I talked about my likes and life and what kind of session I wanted which tied into her theme. We set a date and I had homework to do (gather special mementos, clothes etc). We set the date very near in the future simply because I know myself and would back out if I waited too long. Shannon and I texted frequently before the date which helped build my confidence in my clothing choices (I live in comfortable clothes – so dressing up is oh so hard)! The day finally came for my shoot, and we had so much fun talking, laughing, and sharing stories throughout the whole session! It is amazing when other women lift you up, help you see what you bring to the table, and compliment you. Shannon talked me through the poses and made me feel so comfortable I forgot I was on the wrong side of the lens! The session ended and I felt as though I was leaving a girlfriend’s house!
I have to say being pampered is something I feel not enough women do for themselves. We save it for a special occasion or until we feel we earn or deserve it – the same with having our pictures taken! Bugger that – give yourself some grace and please no matter what, remember being in the picture matters! The final images were simply gorgeous and I am so glad I screwed up the courage to get a chance to experience what my clients do when they are in front of my lens!
